Cleaning

Working with Interduct means you will have access to methods of work and programmes that will meet all your requirements.

Degreasing of all accessible branch ducts, main trunking, roof top ductwork and equipment therein, e.g. dampers, silencers, turning vanes, fire sensory and extinguishing equipment, fan and exit grilles etc. from behind the filters at canopies to the atmosphere.

Where the ducting is man sized our crews actually enter the system via appropriately sized access panels and remove all grease and debris from within. Where the ducting is not man sized the system is cleaned from a succession of strategically placed access doors and grease and debris removed. The ducting and equipment is scraped clean of grease build up back to bare metal; any liquid or dry consistency grease may be vacuumed away. Our service personnel ensure that this is done without comprimising the integrity of the system. Upon completion the system will be free from grease build up, although obviously there may be some staining of the internal surfaces. I t would be unrealistic to expect these surfaces to appear 'as new' In systems which have been neglected for some time. It is natural to encounter some carbonisation of the build up - especially if there has ever been a fire. Where possible and given adequate time this is chipped off to bare metal and washed through with special degreasing chemicals.

All areas worked on within the premises are protected and the kitchen areas left clean

Our Service

• Produce annotated sketches that illustrate the geography of the system for use by the service teams.
• Identify the location of access points and determine
if additional access panels may be required
(often required in order to access equipment within
the ducting such as turning vanes, fans or attenuators).
• Determine scaffolding requirements, security arrangements and other service information.
• Determine the manpower required to restore and maintain a system in optimum efficient condition.
• Establish the level of grease deposit built up within
the system (Wet Film Thickness Testing WFTT as recommended by the HVCA or Deposit Thickness
Testing DTT) initially and over a period of monitoring.
• Plan an ongoing maintenance programme.
• Provide realistic price proposals.
